Chair of the Festival of Learning Working Group
Kathleen Priestly
“The Festival brings together and showcases the many learning opportunities that are on offer in Devonport regularly as well as new and exciting offerings just for the Festival. It is the start of spring – the cold is disappearing, and it is a great time to get out and about and try something new. The vision of the festival is to build a stronger community through learning, one that is ready to adapt to change, to learn new skills and take advantage of opportunities when and where they present themselves.
2019 is all about supporting our neighbours, friends and workmates to help them become stronger with reading, writing, maths and money handling. We all have a role to play in this and in improving our own skills so we are ready to embrace new opportunities.”.
